Faith Dove was born in Morehead City, N.C. On her mother’s side, the Becton’s, were descendants of slave and recorded as far back as 1855 in the U.S. Census records. Afterward, her family was very active in the Civil Rights movement of the 1960’s. On her father’s side, the Doves’, her great, great, great, great grandfather, William Dove, fought beside George Washington during the Revolutionary War at Valley Fort. Through heritage, Faith has learned that you never know where your family comes from and how you can help change the world. For this reason, Faith’s upbringing has always in the nobility of service. She has always served the family, the church, and her community. Faith started her education with an academic scholarship to attend North Carolina State University where she obtained a B.S. in Accounting and Economics. Later, she continued to pursue her education with a Master’s in Education at the University of Central Florida. Her dream was to teach math and to write books on how to make math fun. She still finds her greatest joy was raising her two amazing children (Vonda and Michael) with her late husband, Vaughn Johnson (former All-Pro Linebacker with New Orleans Saints).

Faith has 18 years of experience as Account Manager, Employer Liaison, Employment Specialist, and Job Developer. She has trained and helped place clients in more than 3000 jobs and career advancements. She especially loves helping the underserved population. Her belief is to “Get a job, until you get the job”. She is deeply committed to encouraging clients to seek advancement as well as continued education. She feels that if you help the family, then you can help the community to be productive and grow.

Currently, Faith is employed at Montefiore facilitating opportunities for programs such as Supporting Health Families, HERO Dads, and HERO Moms to meet with people in the community. All the programs are provided by a federal grant to help the family stay strong by supporting them with counseling, financial advice, and other resources.
